Every day, any colour

This week I have been busy making jewellery to add to my day time collection, jewellery for casual wear. Colourful beads threaded in a variety of styles to suit different tastes. I hope you like!

A day of workshops

It was great to get back to workshops today, the first sessions for this year, two workshops held at the Vintage Wardrobe in Gnosall, with some very enthusiastic ladies who having braved the snow and ice, spent a couple of hours making themselves a floating necklace similar to this but using beads of their own choice.

I did manage to take a few photos during the workshops. Such busy, quiet ladies!

Fairies and snowmen

With snow falling for the best part of a week, the child in me manifest itself, so you will have to forgive me these couple of little indulgences, I have had a week of fun, making snowmen and fairies.

My first two snowmen, wearing wire and bead knitted hats and scarves, which I had made in my spare time for just such an opportunity. I was hoping for better light to photograph them but instead we had more snow, which of course covered these two so I made them again the following day

and while it was snowing I sat in my work room snow gazing for the most part, but also making these wire and bead fairies

I guess I had better return to making more jewellery now

Hearts for Valentines

With Valentines day fast approaching I made these hearts this week, each one is made with wire wrapped in sari silk and woven with crystals and or glass beads. I have attached a beaded flower for decoration onto a couple too.

These were all taken into Gallery at 12 earlier this week.

Wedding tiara dreams

Three new tiaras - these weren't made as commissions and are available to buy, please contact me for details

Swarovski crystal pearl, glass bead and diamante

diamante and glass bead tiara
The tiara immediately above and below are totally unique, one off, never to be repeated designs as both the of the larger feature beads are the last of my up cycled clip earrings found in a local charity shop.

Earlier this week I completed this wire and glass bead knitted bracelet - so pretty with a silver plate heart clasp and a Swarovski crystal pearl.

Daisy chain - hair vine

Last spring after making daisy chains in the garden with my daughter I decided to try to crochet one. So in October I finally started crocheting the daisies, but then Christmas arrived and I had to concentrate on making up my Christmas orders and jewellery for my Christmas fairs and the chain was put on hold, this morning I finally completed it and found I had enough crocheted daisies to make a pair of earrings too. I think this would look lovely worn by a bride or bridesmaid instead of a tiara.

A little bit of upcycled bling

With all the Christmas decorations packed away for another 11 months - I was in some serious need of sparkle this afternoon, so I chose to work with some diamante for ultimate bling.
This band is decorated with small diamante beads and then I used a large diamante clip on earring as the feature bead. I found the earrings, along with another pair, in a charity shop last year and thought that as earrings they were not to my taste but as feature beads they would be wonderful, I don't think I am wrong but I have left the clip in place so it can be used as an earring again if wished.

Yearning for Spring

Amazing how a little bit of sunshine can lift the spirits isn't it!
Today's sunshine inspired me to make this sunny necklace, full of Swarovski sparkle and spring freshness.

This 'floating' or 'illusion' necklace has been made by crimping delicate yellow and fresh green Swarovski crystals onto very fine tigertail wire
