knitted wire and bead poppy brooches

Today I finished knitting this commissioned wire and bead poppy and attached it to a silver plate brooch pin.

This poppy was knitted on 2 1/4mm knitting needles, using such fine needles made the knitting quite tight and awkward to knit two stitches together when it came to reducing the stitches in a row. So I chose to knit another poppy using 3mm needles, the knit is much looser and consequently the resulting flower is much larger. I decided that that this larger poppy would be better attached to a brooch bar.

carnelian chip bracelets

Following on from the necklace and earrings I made yesterday I returned to my carnelian chips in the afternoon and made these bracelets, these can be made to order in any length and could even be made long enough for a necklace or spectacle chains if preferred.

A single stranded standard length bracelet would cost £10 - necklaces would be more depending on the length

Flower tiara band

Having made this wire and bead flower last month and photographing it, I then asked the question on here, twitter and facebook what should I make with it?

wire and glass bead flower with Swarovski crystal pearl
Thank you all - I had lots of suggestions, such as a brooch, a choker, a bracelet and several people saying they would wear it in their hair, so I considered all these options and decided to go the hair route - so that could have been on a pin, a hair slide, a comb, a head band, a single tiara band or a double tiara band, I opted to go for the double band.
Here is the finished item -

hand knitted wire and bead rings

These pretty silver plate wire and glass bead knitted rings will be heading to Gallery at 12 in Eccleshall, Staffordshire this week, after a request for some larger ones than the one remaining ring currently on display there. I have been meaning to knit some more for a while so it was great to have the excuse to, I might knit some slightly smaller ones too.

these rings should be removed before immersing hands in water to prevent tarnishing.
