About

Hello and thank you for popping by my blog
I have been designing and making beaded jewellery for more than 20 years now. It all started with a kit for 6 pairs of earrings, and I still get as excited about making jewellery today as I did then and I am still learning and still loving it!
I am a proud winner of Theo Paphitis #sbs (small business sunday) on twitter

I use a wide variety of beads in my designs, but they are usually
glass, freshwater pearls or semi-precious
I am constantly exploring new ways to incorporate these beads into designs and as a result my designs sometimes move away from jewellery into other slightly more 'off the wall' accessories

People often ask me where I get my inspiration from and I have to say pretty much everything I see around me be it natural or handmade, if it makes me stop and look closer at it, then I am gaining something from it which at some time will influence my jewellery. As well as jewellery making , I also enjoy photography and take a camera with me on most of my walks and return home with many new images each day,  I love colour and I am always drawn to colour in the natural world, whether it is the light on the landscape or a stunning butterfly or iridescent beetle and this seems to be the case with my jewellery making, which is probably why I have stuck with working with beads as they provide colour in every shade imaginable.
