Today I finished knitting this commissioned wire and bead poppy and attached it to a silver plate brooch pin.
This poppy was knitted on 2 1/4mm knitting needles, using such fine needles made the knitting quite tight and awkward to knit two stitches together when it came to reducing the stitches in a row. So I chose to knit another poppy using 3mm needles, the knit is much looser and consequently the resulting flower is much larger. I decided that that this larger poppy would be better attached to a brooch bar.
